As a newbie to wheelie travel and expeditions I was a little apprehensive about this outing.
Booked on the phone for wheel chair and PA space. ( changed twice due to covid)
On arrival we were advised that the accessible toilet was out of action but if we needed one we could use the Savoy hotel next door.
The apology also came with an offer of free drinks and snacks.
The journey to the side door accessible entrance was not a short or level one. ( note for those using manual chairs ) Along the strand down a side road to wards the Thames, right past a very old cemetery along a very pot holey road to then turn right up a hill to an access ramp and double opening doors.
We were shown to our own platform area. My PA had a very comfy bucket seat to sit in. The view was fantastic. ( lots of social distancing from the main seating area)
Coats were taken by the staff member to the clock room.
We decided on free wine , at £12.00 a glass we went for a bottle 😉 £26.00 so much better value if its not free.
Thank fully I did not need to use any facilities as I think if the Savoy Hotel facilities were required it would have been a ni on impossible task to get there and back in the interval.
I do though recommend the show. ( Sunday matinee)
