I go to the Cathedral most weeks. All the vergers and wardens are very welcoming and do all they can to get a suitable wheelchair space. They allow me to park my car right outside the main entrance which helps in bad weather. The Cathedral has excellent level access throughout with the exception of the sanctuary steps to the Altar. But I am always welcome to wheel to the chancel steps in my chair or the ministers will serve me communion at our seats. There is a lift down to the Cathedral coffee shop / Restaurant and another lift down to the crypt where refreshments are served after each service. At the moment there is no Changing Place toilet but the Cathedral are planning to install one soon when their facilities are refurbished and upgraded.
